Ellie + Brad work collaboratively together on all projects and each have over 20+ years of industry working experience across a broad range of local and international award winning projects.
Our previous experiences are highly complementary of one-another and create a well-rounded body of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of projects.

Ellie Farrell
Director/ Architect
Ellie was born in 1984 and was educated between the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology [RMIT] in Melbourne and the University of Westminster in London - graduating with a Master of Architecture in 2007.
Ellie has over 20+ years experience working on medium to large scale tertiary educational and large scale multi-residential projects in Melbourne and wider Australia.
Prior to establishing Farrell+Wray, Ellie worked in senior architect roles with some of Melbourne’s most respected architects in their relevant fields including Elenberg Fraser [high-rise Apartments & medium rise multi-residential projects], Lyons [Medium and large Tertiary & Civic projects] & Branch Studio Architects [Educational & Residential projects].
It is through this vast and highly specialised range of experiences, Ellie has an incredible depth of expertise in working and assisting clients in order to achieve seamless user outcomes with complex brief parameters.
Ellie’s analytical skills, meticulous eye for detail, organisational skills and critique of projects through various stages of the design process have played a significant role in shaping the design direction and physical realisation of some of the practice’s best works.
Brad Wray
Director / Architect
Brad Wray was born in 1983 in Melbourne, Australia and educated between the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology [RMIT] in Melbourne and the Accademia Di Architettura in Mendrisio, Switzerland/ Italy - graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture with first class honours in 2007.
Brad`s international studies at the Accademia Di Mendrisio with Portuguese Architects Aires Mateus and exposure to the Swiss masters Peter Zumthor & Valerio Olgiati was integral to Brad`s foundational years in conjunction with working for John Wardle Architects for 4 years prior to founding Branch Studio Architects in 2012.
Brad is also a founding director and design director of the esteemed Branch Studio Architects over the last 14 years and ongoing.
Brad is a passionate advocate for printed architecture publications and was responsible for the design and authorship of a self-published Monograph [Proemial] in 2017 and collaboratively designed and authored Monograph - [Consolidation] with Artifice press in London in 2023.
Brad has been invited to be on the judging panel for the Dezeen awards in London and the AIA Victorian Architecture Awards in Australia.
In 2019, Brad was invited to guest lecture at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West in Scottsdale, Arizona in the US.
In 2020, Brad was invited to present in the National Gallery of Australia’s - Contemporary Australian Architects Speaker Series.
