VALUES:
At the core of our work are our values.
We see each new project as unique. However there are some underlying values we see as a constant in each project & throughout our evolving
body of work.
Scroll below to read about our five core values:
I. IDEAS, STORIES & NARRATIVE
We believe good design should go beyond utility and engage the senses.
A well-crafted space or building reveals subtle stories about its history,
people and place—this could be through form, materiality, or a framed
view. Our goal is to create deeper, more meaningful connections between
our buildings and their context.
II. FOR OUR FUTURE
The buildings and spaces we create today will shape the future
— for better or worse.
Each project for us offers a chance to learn from the past, understand the present, and use that insight to design a more thoughtful, sustainable future.
III. PEOPLE, PLACE & ENVIRONMENT
Buildings and spaces are defined by the people who experience them,
the places they occupy, and the environments they touch.
We design with restraint, allowing each building to work as seamlessly
as possible with its site and surroundings, creating a backdrop that
supports and enhances the life within.
IV. GOOD DESIGN FOR EVERYONE
We believe good design should be accessible to everyone,
regardless of socio-economic or demographic background.
Our most meaningful work happens when we can create positive,
memorable experiences that spark curiosity in people who might
not otherwise have the opportunity.
V. MATERIAL RIGOUR
Materiality is essentially the physical basis of architecture and space.
We are interested in the detail of materiality as a singular intimate moment
of interaction and humanistic experience.
We see each new project as an opportunity to research, explore and develop systems and technologies which are able to positively enhance the way we work together, with other collaborators and makers to craft our buildings.
